Deli Line Assembly Worker

Job Type

Full-time/Part-time

Pay

$19-25 an hour (including tips)

Responsibilities

  • Sandwich Preparation: Skillfully prepare a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Order Taking: Take customer orders at the register, accurately record their preferences, and provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations.
  • Dishwashing: Ensure the cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Follow proper dishwashing procedures and maintain a sanitary workspace.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe deli area.
  • Stock Management: Assist in restocking ingredients and supplies as needed, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and readily available for sandwich preparation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing their needs and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sandwich-making techniques, including the use of various ingredients and condiments.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills for order processing and cash handling.
  • Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Flexibility reliability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and potentially hot or cold kitchen environment.
